IDAA's 75th Anniversary
I am writing today to invite you to attend our International Doctors in Alcoholics Anonymous 75th Annual Conference. This is a unique opportunity for medical professionals in recovery from or struggling with addictive disorders to convene, continue their education, and share their recovery journey. We hope you will be able to join us for this “Safe Harbor” – which will take place at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront from July 10 to July 14. You can register for the conference here.
This year marks an important milestone in International Doctors in Alcoholics Anonymous history – our 75th Anniversary. In 1949, Dr. Clarence Pearson held the first International Doctors in Alcoholics Anonymous meeting at his summer home in Cape Vincent, New York. While that initial meeting only hosted thirty-four people, hundreds of medical professionals and their families now attend this annual summer conference.
In honor of this momentous occasion, I invite you to make a gift to our 75th Anniversary Campaign. Your generous donation will facilitate the Annual Conference, support Conference scholarships, and assist in broadening IDAA services beyond the Annual Conference. While a gift of any amount is appreciated, we have created five campaign-giving levels. Donors who make a a contribution at one of these levels will be acknowledged at the Annual Conference. They are:
Founder Level: $5,075+
Shoulders of Giants Level: $1,075+
Executive Director Level: $575+
Trusted Servant Level: $375+
Chairperson Level: $175+
Newcomer Level: $75+
You can make your gift to the 75th Anniversary Campaign here. I am deeply grateful for your support, which will help International Doctors in Alcoholics Anonymous continue for another 75 years and beyond, and I hope to see you in Baltimore.
Sincerely,
Michelle Van Alst
Executive Director
