Scholarships and Financial Aid
Scholarships are NOW OPEN!
Scholarships open March 1st and are closed once all funds have been awarded.
Scholarship recipients, like newcomers at a 12-step meeting, are the most important people attending each IDAA Annual Meeting. Thanks to the generous contributions of our members, we can continue the tradition of offering full and partial scholarships for members and sometimes their families.
Scholarships are offered for registration fees, CE’s, and lodging only and are available for both individuals and their families.
Important information:
- Scholarships are awarded based on economic need and recommendations from applicants’ local IDAA/Caduceus group and/or sponsor.
- As there are a limited number of scholarships available, scholarships will generally be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Each recipient is responsible for the costs of transportation to the meeting, non-included meals, and extracurricular activities.
- Each scholarship recipient will share a room with one or more scholarship recipients, or with their family, if applicable.
- Accommodations for dependent children will be in the room with the parent(s).
- Each scholar will be expected to attend a 7:00 AM recovery meeting focused on the needs of those attending on scholarship.
- Each scholar will be expected to assist daily during the conference with the various activities associated with conducting the conference. This may include registration, pre-registration for the next year's annual meeting, scholarships, souvenirs, etc.
- The time commitment will vary according to the number of scholarship participants available, but based on previous experience, it should be no more than 2 hours per day.
- In some rare situations, 2nd time-attending scholarships are awarded. Priority will be given to those who have not received a scholarship previously. Please apply for consideration.
After You Apply:
A scholarship committee member WILL be reaching out to interview you further. Please check your voicemails and emails often. Only a limited number of scholarships are available, prompt responses are required to receive a scholarship.
When/if your application is approved, you will be given a code which you then use to complete your meeting registration. Please do not try to register before you have been awarded a discount code or you will be subject to the full price.
If you are awarded a scholarship, your lodging reservation will be made for you. Please do not book a hotel room until your scholarship status has been determined.

Financial Aid
IDAA can offer discounts to attend the IDAA Annual Meeting based on your retired and/or limited-income status. Priority will be given to those who have not received discounts/scholarships previously. You must fill out the scholarship application to be considered for a discount.
Filling out the application does not register you for the meeting; nor does it guarantee that your application will be approved.
